Neodigital Art | The Four Seasons

PHOTO 1 012

Spring

In this Spring photo you can see the daffodils and everything is beginning to turn green.

THE LAKES - 19 JUNE 2011 042

Summer

This photograph was taken in the same place in June and summer has arrived. This picture has a lot more depth because the foreground is better.

MONDAY 001

Autumn

This was taken at the beginning of October and you can see the Autumn colours beginning to emerge, but the weather did go very mild for the time of year. It was warm that day and the light was great.

Winter

This was taken yesterday (19th December) and the lake was frozen over. The swans struggled to break the thin layer of ice. The light kept changing but was quite good when I took this but the sun was low in the sky compared to summer.

I think my photography has improved through the year and the last photograph is more interesting, has more depth and is edited better. The ice makes it very unusual; I think snow pictures will come soon but will we go to the lake?

    • Hi Nandini,

Thank it wasn’t easy finding the four photos out of over 1,000 that more or less matched! It does show my photography has improved over the past year though!

  4. Hi Mike, though you didn’t make the Final Nominee Cuts in The Dark Globe Outstanding Artist Awards, you didn’t Walk Away Empty Handed either

A Special Award has been given to both you, and Nuvofelt

  5. Congratulations, Mike on winning the diversity award. You richly deserve it, though you richly deserve the photography award too!

Very cool to see the same lake over 4 seasons. I thought each one was fantastic! Well done on so many levels, Mike! πŸ™‚

  6. Hi Carolyn,

I have been nominated for 3 award and a finalist in a photography competition so that’s enough for one year! lol. That last photograph turned out really well and looks good full sized. It is harder to get good shots in winter, but still possible and the days start getting longer now. I might even take some on Christmas Day and I shall definitely take food photos over Christmas!
