Christmas Eve Ramble
Merry Christmas
I don’t care, I’ll say Merry Christmas if I want to; Happy Holidays doesn’t sound quite right! I’m not too fussy about tradition, but will have turkey and roast pork for Christmas lunch tomorrow. It’s been an interesting year so far, I was nominated for writing awards and got that one last week for writing and photography. My Dark Globe Artist Diversity Award can be found here. I also was a finalist in the photographic competition at the hospital and got a certificate from the mayor. I might get involved with the latest project too, which is about the history of the hospital.
I’m making plans for 2012 that don’t include anything to do with that waste of time they call the Olympics. I am hoping to start a new blog on my own webspace, this one will continue at least until the new one makes it redundant. I’ll continue to write and develop new categories. I have improved my photography and I think today’s photograph could easily grace a Christmas card. I’ll be taking more next year. My investment blogs will continue as soon as I invest in something else. It’s not going too bad so far. I bought Premier Foods at about 4p a share and they will sell for 5.71 today. That makes up for the ones that have dropped but investing is long term. I’m hoping they will go to a few pounds in a few years! I shall probably invest more in Zopa too.
I have done some food blogs, it was Chinese stir fry the other day. My warming chicken stew was nice too. I also do my Neodigital Art blogs photographs. This weeks I used photographs from all four seasons. You can also read my thrifty and frugal blogs; that will save you money! I started gourmet food blogs too, I shall continue with those. Many of my readers want to read about FarmVille and the belted cow trick in particular. That trick doesn’t work unless you still have a dairy! I still have a couple but did put a pasture on Home farm. You can put loads of belted cows on your farm though. If you have 300 and harvest with farmhands you still get 900,000 coins!
I have the new Timeline on Facebook too, take a look by clicking my Facebook badge! I shall have a Fan page on Facebook for my new blog! I’m an award winning writer now!
What did you do in 2011? What are your plans for 2012? Please share them with a comment! Please share too with your online friends if you like this blog, it will make it easier for me to put money into a new blog. There are more amazing blogs on my Home Page and I’ll be back with a Christmas Day Special tomorrow.

I have already promised that my blog will be an Olympic Free zone for 2012. If it were possible my life would be too, but I’m sure I’ll have to be aware of it via the ‘News’ at some point. I can’t emphasise how much I think it’s a waste of money. I’m sure also that all the fuss with the French is that they are still jealous they didn’t get it. I just wish they had.
Happy Christmas, Mike. I’ll be watching for your new site when it comes. Where will you host it? I have two full sites hosted by WP and others elsewhere. This internet thing spreads far and wide…..

Hi Myfanwy,
This post is popular, I only posted it 35 minutes ago! I have a name for the new site and I found a hosting company that will give me more than enough space because I want to experiment a little too. I have done websites before with FrontPage and Dreamweaver and so this will be the first with WordPress. I have to learn how to install, do plugins and so on; then I can play around and do whatever with lots of space! I hope to get enough space to give others free sub-domains.
I have experimented with this blog and the next one will be better organised, especially categories. This site is far more SEO friendly than it was. I know the keywords that work not, although I don’t stuff blogs with keywords.
Have a great Christmas and we can compete to see who has the best new Year resolutions next week!
