The Kreativ Blogger award.

Kreativ blogger

Today I have been nominated for the Kreativ Blogger award and so I am accepting and will follow the guidelines below.

My thanks first to Christine at Wordsetcwriting for the nomination.

The guidelines for the award are:

List six blogs that the recipient thinks are outstanding and deserving of the award.

Share ten things that your readers may not know about you.

OK the first bit is hard so I’ll have to think.

The Wonder of Tech gives us invaluable information about apps for the Iphone and Android apps so that can be my first nomination.

I re-blogged a blog yesterday from Four Blue Hills about castles and so that blog is deserving of the award.

I have to give the award to Love Thy Bike, check that site out and in particular the blog about the Wandle Trail.

Becoming Madame is a blog about living in France and deserving of the award not only for writing but for sharing that culture with us and that blog about French kitchens is amazing.

The Starving Art Historian also deserves the award for being creative about art and doing a blog that inspires and informs.

Last but definitely not least is Eryn Wong’s blog over at a Million Mars. How do you know whether or not you are ready to have a baby? Eryn has all the answers and tests!

Ten things you may not know about me…

I once worked deep underground in a nuclear bunker type communications centre! (That’s deep).

I’ve been to the top of the Post Office towers in London and Birmingham (England). (That’s high)

I’ve hitch hiked from Birmingham to London and back! (Can’t do that now)

I was sick for a long time. (I’m feeling better now)

I am a quite an expert wine maker (Over 20,000 bottles)

I wrote a novel in 2009. (Unpublished)

The lens in my right eye is made of plastic. (Getting weird now!)

I’ve written 295 blogs. (Not including this one)

I was nominated for three blogging awards in 2011! (One so far in 2012, including this one)

All of my qualifications are for technology and telecommunications. (But I’m good at other things)

That was harder than I thought. I nearly had to resort to really weird facts about myself, like that fact I still sleep in the room I was born in and my fingers hurt with the cold weather! Not many people know that I have just started a new blog called A Zillion Ideas! Yes, I’m founder of my own dot com! I just have to write the blogs now!

Smile with tongue out

There are more amazing blogs on my Home Page. Please comment and click like and share with your friends!

    • Hi Carolyn,

You were top of my list when I thought about the award. The others have fascinating blogs too though! I’m still having problems with the new site but I’ll get it right eventually!

  9. I neglected to mention, though I’m still thinking about it, how cool it is that you live in the same house you were born in. My father held that distinction until he married at age 31. Now he lives in the same house he has been living in for over 42 years.

I’m glad you’re feeling better now.

    • Hi Carolyn,

Yes, I sleep in the room I was born it. the house looks nothing like when I was a child though. I should write a blog about that! I went to hospital yesterday, it seems the pills I was prescribed are more important than I thought. I must remember to take them!

      • Yes, that would be a very interesting topic, Mike!

Definitely take your medicine, Mike. You need to be healthy to keep up with your blogging schedule. 🙂

  10. Hi Carolyn,

Thanks. I used to take up to 20 pills a day. I’m supposed to take 3 now and forget. 2 are calcium and vitamin D though. I must make an effort! 🙂
