A Sunday Ramble | Art
I’ve gone artistic with today’s picture. I altered the photograph a little; I know I forgot half a dozen television aerials and a satellite dish. It looks good as long as you don’t look too closely. They could print this and put it up in the art gallery, it would be cheaper than some of those exhibitions; even after they had paid me!
Art is in the eye of the beholder, but frequently what ends up in art galleries depends upon whether the beholder has a big enough cheque book. Artists through the different periods in art have tended to be trendy and mix with the fashionable set in Paris, London or New York. We have to have someone in from one of those places every time we want to do something artistic, because they have all the kudos! I believe art galleries should be less pompous and exhibit and encourage art that has been produced by local people. They show work in New York produced by the trendy artists of Paris. Are there no artists in New York? I assume there is, because they tend to be trendy too at the expense of less trendy places. I’m sure America has artists who live in small towns that no one has ever heard of.
I just read that Lewis Carroll who wrote Alice’s adventures in Wonderland was a photographer and was considered an artist. Photography would have been very trendy in 1858 of course, now anyone can pick up a camera and take a picture. But can they create art?
This is another of my creations that is unlikely to end up in an art gallery. What do you think? First impressions of my impressionism welcome!

Hi MIke, I love these photos. I re-pinned the bottom one on Pinterest. Did you use a special program for these effects?
