Neodigital Art | Sunshine at last
I took this photograph yesterday and it’s the River Tame. I remembered that the flowers grow down the edges in Spring. The Tame runs all over the Black Country or at least the brooks do, that feed it. These flowers seem to grow all along it and so I might go to another location and photograph that while the flowers are still in bloom today. I could take a picnic!
The Tame used to drive watermills and so I’m quite interested in it’s history. This shot is the other way off the footbridge and the lake that I often photograph is just around that bend in the river.
This is the bridge over the river and I think the contrast between something man made and the beauty of nature works well in many photos.
Because it’s spring and we are half way between winter and summer, you can sometimes see the winter colours and summer colours. The Milky Pool seems to have some winters colours, but the trees are now very green.
I took this photo on Sunday and the sun was very bright, but the sky was still white and hazy. It takes a week of warm weather for the sky to go blue and today is the first day of really clear skies and it’s a sort of grey-blue today. When it’s misty higher in the atmosphere some shots into the distance are misty and unclear. My main problem there was the sun in front of me for some of the time.
Sometimes, when you are taking photographs you just have to be lucky to get the shot and that was the subject of my blog on a Zillion Ideas today. Pop over to that blog if you would like to see my pictures of the Sanna, canal boats and more pictures like this one from Sunday. I need more readers on that blog and so please follow the blog and perhaps share with your friends on Facebook.

Thanks, the weather is even better today. I had to come home and change into a tee shirt! England is good on days like this!

Hi Mike, I don’t think I have a favorite this week. You made it too difficult for me to pick just one! What I really loved about this week’s photos was the first two shots made me wonder where you were standing to take the picture and the third picture answered my question! I also like the picture with the tree in the foreground as it shows dimension and depth. That picture makes it seem almost as if you’re in a dream and seeing this beautiful scenery ahead of you.

Hi Carolyn,
The day afternoon started badly after I had handed out leaflets in the supermarket for a charity, we went looking for a pond in a nature reserve. Then I remembered the flowers growing along the river in Spring and it really was worth seeing. It would make an ideal picnic area and some of the kids were enjoying the sun on their way home from school. I thought about changing my theme now you have a new one, but I’ll keep it simple! I still have a few problems with http://azillionideas.com to get it the way I would like it. I think photos look better on a black background too.
I’ll get sponsorship to promote local tourism yet!
