Neodigital Art | Changing seasons

MONDAY 002

I took this photograph last October on a sunny day. You can see the colours changing and reflecting more light. The light was better in Autumn last year than we have had in summer this year. We have to be prepared for whatever nature decides to throw at us and make the most of it.

It was quite warm too in October, not like this year. I have my heating on in September. I made the most of it and took lots of photographs.

Great Bridge 005

This photo is very similar to the first photo but was taken about a month earlier, the colours are slightly darker. The colours didn’t change so quickly because the weather was mild, but this year it’s cold and so they will change much quicker.

Wednesbury

This is the same place this month and the light is different and the colours are much darker. I still like the photograph, but I cropped a lot off because the sky was so dark.

SNOW

This photograph really contrasts with the rest. I took this out of the window a couple of years ago and the early morning snow really reflected the light! I added a blue tint to ‘cool’ the photograph. Not that it wasn’t cool enough already. This one was cool enough to use for Christmas greetings too. I used Microsoft Paint to add text saying ‘Merry Christmas’ across the bottom.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s pictures. Have a question? Please comment. You can find another Neodigital Art blog today on a zillion ideas. Why not pop over and check it out?

  1. Hi Mike, these are wonderful pictures. I really like the change of seasons, especially the one with the snow. It’s a reminder of what’s ahead of us!

We didn’t have snow last winter. I can’t remember that ever happening before. It’s pretty, but I didn’t miss it at all.

I lived in Florida for three years and missed the change of seasons. I never liked winter before that but Florida made me miss it! Maybe I’m over that now…

    • Hi Carolyn,

Yes, I didn’t really miss the snow last winter, we didn’t have much. You really have to get up early for a good snow photo. I took a couple early this year but at night, the snow reflected the street lamps.

I have my heating on early this year. It was relatively mild last year so my monthly payment was reduced, it will be going back up after this winter!

      Thanks for dropping by… 🙂
