What a strange week?

Stone henge edit

It was a strange week for me. The stock market seemed to do well, which was good news. Then on Thursday I had a hospital appointment. My blood test result was good. I just remembered I had a problem with my alarm on my car when I came out. I must get new batteries for the key fob! Then it was the winter solstice yesterday and the Mayan apocalypse.

Never mind, it’s not the end of the world and it’s Christmas next week…

Improving you Facebook timeline was about doing a header picture for your Facebook timeline; that was yesterday’s post.

Thrifty Thursday shopping for bargains was Thursday’s usual thrifty post with some ideas for Christmas shopping. I went to Aldi on Thursday and it was quite busy, so don’t leave your shopping until the last minute. I still have some presents to get, hopefully today or tomorrow.

How to write fiction was Wednesday’s post and it gave you a link to my Christmas short story.  That story is suitable for all ages and it’s free. Just click that link to read the story online and you can save it to read later. Ignore the punctuation mistakes and the spelling mistake; I’ll do better next time. I always mess up the punctuation when I do dialogue. Please come back and comment and tell me if you like the story and  found it amusing.

Neodigital Art | Winter creativity was my usual Tuesday blog and popular as always. That had some interesting winter photos.

Psychology | Considering the risks was my  Monday psychology post.  We all have to consider the risks before we do anything. Some people throw caution to the wind and are always in trouble. We have to take precautions, regardless of what we intend to do, if we want to avoid problems.

Scary thoughts was my Sunday ramble after a week of bad news in which children lost their lives in a horrific attack at their school in Connecticut.

Don’t forget, you can comment on anything that you like, but please let me know if you like my Christmas story. The good news is, it’s raining here and so it should be a mild Christmas, no snow or ice; just yet.

    • Hi Keith,

Thanks, I thought it could be better, but I lost most of my photos with snow on. I cropped that photo so just the top of the tree was on and then added the balloon! You can do those easily with PhotoScape (freeware).

      Thanks for visiting.
