Photography and neodigital art.
I’m looking for good images now that are more artistic or images that I can do something in editing. The above image was taken with a more expensive Nikon DSLR. The image below with my Fuji bridge camera. Which is better and more artistic? I like the one below more.
The colours are more subtle in this picture, but it was taken in Spring. This is at a lower resolution too 72 dpi, compared to the top picture at 400 dpi.
Simon took this picture, again with a bridge camera. I think it’s a Panasonic. It’s a nice composition with the narrowboats contrasting against the landscape. The colours are different again and the aspect ratio is different.
My sister took this one with a little compact camera. You do tend to get much better light in the Caribbean though! I think the tree gives this photo some depth.

Hi Mike, The photos are truly beautiful this week! I had a difficult time deciding, but I believe my favorite photo is the top one. I love the burst of color from the flowers. I just want to move that branch in front to get a better view of the water. I know the branch gives depth but I want to see the water!
Speaking of seeing the water, love the Caribbean photo too. Such a beautiful scene. But I’m a bit biased towards seeing pictures of lovely England. 🙂

Hi Carolyn,
Yes. I used a mix of photos this week. That pool was drained and restored not long ago. The Nikon seems to differentiate between colours more and light. Dark green is very dark. I suppose I’ll get used to it. The historic vehicle show is on again on Sunday. It rained last year, but this year could be much brighter. I am hoping it isn’t too popular because it could be hard to park the car! I’ll try to photograph that with the Nikon, that’s just the sort of photos it takes well. I have more Caribbean and pictures from the Mediterranean to use. My sister is into cruises…

I’m into cruises too. I leave on one Saturday! I look forward to seeing the antique car photos when I return.
I still want to see photos taken with your old camera vs. the Nikon to see the difference between the two. That would make for an interesting article, I think!

Take some photos while you’re on the cruise! One of the deck of the ship might be good. There are more photos like these on http://azillionideas.com too.
