The Review: Another week of writing and photography

1 Walsall Canal - winter sunshine

Today’s photo was taken on the Walsall canal at Ocker Hill. I do try to show the Black Country in a good light; that’s when I get a good light to take the photo. This is one of the pictures I’ve entered for the waterways calendar competition.

Finance Friday: Interest rates was yesterday’s post on A Zillion Ideas. The Bank of England seemed to indicate on Thursday that ‘forward guidance’ on rates no longer applied. On Friday, the stock market tanked and so it would appear many investors are having doubts about Osborne’s economic miracle.

Thrifty Thursday: January offers was my Thursday post for us mere mortals trying to save a few quid. After Friday’s bashing on the stock market, I will have to be even more thrifty.

An evening with Darlaston Rotary Club  was my Wednesday post on A Zillion Ideas, after my evening out on Tuesday. I found that very interesting and it was a worthwhile charity event.

Black Country canals was my Tuesday photography post. It did feature some Black Country canals including the Birmingham and Walsall canals.

Competition Images was more canal pictures over on a Zillion Ideas. I’ve submitted my photos for the competition now and so I’ll just see what happens. There are lots of great photos in the competition. I might stand a chance with winter pictures though.

Psychology: Mindfulness was Monday’s usual psychology post. The psychology posts are quite popular. Perhaps we all need to understand ourselves and each other.

Will this sunshine last all day? was my Sunday ramble. The sunshine did last and I got some good photos for the calendar competition. We have rain forecast for this Sunday, so just as well. It might clear up next week though and a good weekend is forecast for the end of the month.
