Thrifty Thursday: January offers

The Aldi super-six today are iceberg lettuce, cooked beetroot (500g), spring onions (100g), celery, cherry tomatoes (300g) and cucumber. They are all 39p.

This week’s meat offers are worth checking out too. The chicken drumsticks have been reduced from 1.99 to 1.49 for 750g.

Special Buys

Keeping warm seems to be the theme of today’s special buys with a Work Zone space heater at 69.99 leading the offers. There is also tools, work-wear and thermal wear. There is also some naturally light juice for 99p. It can be hard getting your 5 a day on a diet and that low sugar juice might help.

The leading special buy on Sunday is a halogen oven at 24.99 and there is also a George Foreman family grill for 19.99.  There’s also other kitchen equipment and kitchen-ware. There are some foil trays with lids for 79p. They are good for making shepherds pies, the edges don’t burn in a foil tray.

Clothes

I don’t normally shop at Debenhams, but for some clothes they have good quality and traditional styles. I would go there for a traditional overcoat for example. They have a sale on now with some decent price reductions.

Matalan always have a sale and offers, but pick up a form to get a Matalan card while you’re in there. I have the black card which means they will probably send me a voucher on my birthday for 20% off. I might buy me some Wrangler jeans for my birthday if I can get 20% off!  The new knitwear they have in looks good too. They have the basic tee shirts for £4.00 with an extra 20% off at the checkout. They are always useful, but I would like some long sleeve ones.

Blue Inc caters for younger people with quite trendy fashions. They have a sale too. I sometimes have clothes from there, but they haven’t got any long sleeved tee shirts either…

Amazon have long sleeve tee shirts for £6, but I always spend too much when I look at that website. I want a new router with USB ports from Amazon so I can set up a network and have all my photos on a network drive. It would give  me better wi-fi too.  I’m also considering a dash cam for my car, so I can make video as I drive! They have a cool professional flash gun for my camera too. I could spend a fortune on Amazon…
