Offers and special buys #thrifty

The Aldi super-six this week are blueberries (125g), salad potatoes (1Kg), Braeburn apples, oranges, baby plum tomatoes (250g) and mild onions (4). They are all 69p and the offer runs until Wednesday, 11th of February 2015.

Offers

The meat offers aren’t very exciting again, but they have diced pork and chicken, that are ideal for stir fries. By a strange coincidence my house guest is Chinese!

Today’s special buys are mostly for babies. There is some food, including a Chinese meal for 2 (3.99)!

I think the theme for Sunday’s special buys is Valentines Day. The nail art set (3.99) might be popular.

You can get an ‘app’ for Aldi now or sign up for the newsletter. The ‘app’ is quite good on my phone.

Amazon

Amazon always have offers and deals and if you look around the site, you can even find things for free. This touch up pro – photo editor is free. It says available immediately so I think it’s a download.  I found pages of  free stuff on the UK site. Most of them are apps for phones, like Tetris. You can get free ABBA songs for you Android phone too.

Lidl

It’s Asian week at Lidl and they have a rice cooker and a wok amongst their offers.

Asda

It’s Chinese New Year soon so if you want to do a special meal and celebrate too, there are lots of Chinese meal products at Asda. There are some offers too.

Have you seen any offers this week? Please share them with a message in the comments box. You can also subscribe and receive email updates or follow me on Twitter for updates.

  1. hi, i think there is a mistake with the 59p , it is 69p for the super six veg. also, with pork, it is better value to buy the asda £2/kg pork, and cut it up yourself rather than the stir fried pork in aldi.

    • Thanks, I’m not having a good day today! I am thinking about going to Asda, because it’s closer and stocking up in case we get more snow! I’ll try to concentrate when I do tomorrow’s post!

      • Snow showers in the Midlands. Farther north it’s sticking. I think we’ll have it worse over the weekend. I’ll get my thermals out!
