Supermarket offers #thrifty

The Aldi super-six this week are butternut squash, green beans (220g), button mushrooms (200g), sweet potatoes (750g), pineapple and fun-size pears. They are all 49p each.

The top special buy today is a pop up gazebo. There are other garden related items too.  I bought a wheelbarrow from Aldi this week. It needed two people to assemble it, but it’ll be very useful now!

Sunday’s special buys are all for cyclists. The top ones are ladies and gents cycling jackets for 15.99.

If you have a Barclaycard, you might find it useful to register for bespoke offers who will send you emails of special offers. One offer at the moment is a 9” quad core Android Tablet for just 49.99.

I have an Android phone, so this week I went to the ‘play store’ and downloaded the Matalan app. I can now bring up a voucher on the screen of my phone to a discount either in-store or online with my Matalan card account. If you don’t have a Matalan card, you get get a form in store or sign up online.

If you’re going to Tesco it’s worth checking out their half price offers. They have non-vintage champagne for £13.49.
