If you are a regular Sunday ramble reader, you’ll know I like to go out and take photographs on a Sunday afternoon. It seems people are copying my Sunday ramble idea. I have to try to make my post search engine friendly, so you can search for my Sunday ramble, but mine aren’t the most popular… (more…)

Easter means different things to different people these days. To many the religious significance is still important, but to others religion is in disrepute. The Prime Minister claiming divine guidance hasn’t helped. (more…)

The weather services are saying it’s above freezing this morning, but the pavement outside my house and my car are covered in frost. The year of 2013 is coming to an end and many people’s thoughts are for the future. Are you making any resolutions for 2014? I’ve made a list of goals for 2014. (more…)

A lot of people think writing is easy, until they try it. You get writer’s block, lack of inspiration and then sometimes you read back what you’ve written and think it’s rubbish! Living life is the main inspiration for writers, doing stuff and then writing about it. I’m lucky I suppose, I’m at an age when lots has happened to me. So I have a little experience.

I suspected it was the DNS server that had a problem. DNS is Dynamic name server and converts the name of the website you type in to a IP address and connects you. I decided to log in to my router and change the DNS server to open DNS. You can click that link to find out how to use open DNS if your Internet service provider ever has similar problems. This fixed the problem and I was connecting to websites again. But… (more…)

(Reuters) – good.food, learn to.salsa, glossy.lipstick — people and companies will be able to set up a website with almost any address by the end of next year if they have a legitimate claim to the domain name and can pay a hefty fee.
It costs $185,000 to register for one of the new domains (typical…). I want Blogging.4U or maybe Art.4U. I want all of them. Maybe it would be worth $185,000 for all of the .4U extensions. I think big companies will snap them up and add the cost to their products. Watch out for television.coke bought by Coca Cola and I’m sure they are scheduling meetings to decide on others. They could ask me to think of some and write a report! I’m so cheap!
