Is it time to stop listening to economists?
We have advanced technology, supercomputers, Facebook, Twitter, wide screen televisions, space travel, economic models, highly qualified economists, highly qualified bankers and experts of every kind and colour.
So why is the world economy is such a bloody mess?
The scandal of British poverty
I usually try to bring you bargains on a Thursday, but you just have to shop around in your own neighbourhood and get what you can. More and more people in Britain are struggling financially, because they have have been encouraged by government and the media to be irresponsible with money and live for today. Company branding
I’ve looked at company branding a little recently and if a company isn’t doing so well they often re-brand their products and the company. Nike make sports shoes and trainers and they re-designed their shoes and changed the way the company did business. Money | Peer to peer lending
According to research by Moneysupermarket.com one in four workers in Britain are using 40% or more of their wages to pay off debt. The total debts are more than £9 billion and the average payment is £322 per person each month. You may be able to consolidate debts with a loan from Zopa. If you have a good credit rating the interest rate from Zopa might be less than on your loans or credit card debt. Another option is to transfer credit card debt to a interest free card, a number of banks are doing good deals now and up to 20 months interest free. If you need help with debt try the Consumer Credit Counselling Service. (more…)

The fashion for some years, since the 1980’s has been for textured wall paper, that you can just emulsion, when it needs redecorating. It’s good, but you need some pictures as well in the living room and perhaps the hallway. (more…)
