So, the Tories pulled a fast one. Instead of targeting Labour seats they went after the Lib Dems instead. It makes sense, rather than go after the left wing constituencies, they swayed the middle of the road voter to turn right. It could be worse though, even though we have five more years of austerity. Weekend conclusion
We have lots of Autumn colours to appreciate now, but do we have time to appreciate them? I saw one of my neighbours children going to school really early one morning and found that some are leaving for school at 7 in the morning. Why? They have to go to the best school. No, not a private school like David Cameron. They’re not aspiring to be rich toffs are they?
Right or wrong?
It’s hard to know what’s right or wrong these days. On this day in 1939, Germany invaded Poland. That was wrong. Right? Was it right that we should intervene and declare war on Germany? How many lives did that cost?
Finance Friday | The economic fiasco
Rents for social housing have gone up over the years in the UK and have been subsidised first with rent rebates and then that was changed to housing benefit. They went so high that workers couldn’t afford them.
