Summer events and landscapes #photography
The end of spring and through the summer is the events season for me and I hope to do a lot more this year. The first carnival is next weekend. I’ll still do landscape photography, but will be photographing people more and so I’ll try to either get close to them or zoom in with a 18 – 105 mm lens. (more…)
The Review: Stormy weather
We were lucky last week with the weather for the carnival and Black Country Day. It was sunny and warm all day on Saturday. This week we have stormy weather, that looks set to continue overnight. (more…)
The Black Country Festival
I went to Wednesbury carnival and to Darlaston’s Party In the Park yesterday and took lots of photographs. The Black Country Festival continues with Black Country Day tomorrow. It’s all good fun and it will hopefully bring the people and towns in the Black Country together more. (more…)
The Review: Carnival Day
Yes, it carnival day in Wednesbury! This is part of the Black Country Festival and there are events right across the Black Country. It’s the Wolverhampton City Show all weekend. West Bromwich and Great Bridge have events and Darlaston has it’s Party in the Park all weekend too. It’s gonna be bostin’… (more…)
Wednesbury carnival photographs
I went to Wednesbury carnival on Saturday. I took quite a lot of photographs and met up with family members. I think local events are important for community spirit and they benefit the local economy. There were other events around the Black Country at other parks.
Carnival Time!
It was carnival time in the park yesterday! I went to Brunswick Park to photograph the event. I didn’t see any other photographers, but I know there was another one. The Express and Star had a small stand selling newspapers. They used to have a big truck and photographers covering the event.
Shows and carnivals
Today’s title conflicts a little with today’s picture. That’s Brunswick Park in Wednesbury, setting for today’s carnival. Darlaston has a ‘Party in the Park’ in Victoria park and some things going on in King Street. Wolverhampton has their show on all weekend in West park. So there is lots to do today.
