The photo today is of the River Tame in Sandwell Valley Country Park. I’m not sure where I’ll go today. I want to go somewhere, because the weather forecast is good. At Walsall it’s the Caldmore Village Festival in Palfrey Park. I was going to photograph that last year, but the weather wasn’t very good.

This could be the only treasure map in existence with a motorway running through it. You may remember that I wrote about Princess Ethelfleda’s hoard of gold in my post just a year ago. We’re still looking for it. It could be buried at King’s Hill, there is a park there that’s suitable for scouring with a metal detector.

Picnic place

This isn’t a great photo but it was intended as a picnic area and so looked interesting. Some idiot had lit a portable barbecue on top of the table provided and burnt it! There wasn’t that much of interest there. (more…)
