I took this picture in a park and it’s not very interesting. The important thing, with a lot of nature pictures in parks and woodland is the separation of the different colours. Most of the picture can be different shades of green, so you need the difference to show, rather than all blend in together.
Carolyn over at the Wonder of Tech sent me a couple of photos to edit this morning and I had 30 minutes to spare so tried this edit. I used PhotoScape and the coloured pencil option. I like it, it’s artistic and I would be happy to have this on the wall of my living room. What do you think?
The weather has improved a little now that we are closer to summer. I took this shot on Sunday and it was quite sunny. Notice how I’ve used the trees to add depth. I didn’t edit much, I just added some contrast.
The snow has kept on coming this week and at the time of writing, I’m expecting more. We do expect the weather to improve over the weekend though. I noticed a patch on my roof where the snow is melting, it’s over the hatch to the loft which isn’t insulated. Heat’s escaping! Have you looked at your roof?
