Photography: Around the Black Country
The settings on modern cameras are great, just set it on landscape for landscape photos and the camera does the rest. You can get technical and set the aperture, shutter speed and ISO yourself for better photos. The important thing is to point the camera at something interesting and try to keep it still.

Today’s picture was taken at Forge Mill Farm in Sandwell Valley and I’ve edited it with PhotoScape taking out some cars in the background and I changed the colours to look like sepia.

I’ve started today with a photo of Forge Mill Farm, I went there on Easter Sunday. It was cold! There is still some snow about and so I had to wrap up warm and try to cope with the poor light.
What I’ve learned about blogging
I’ve been blogging on WordPress for over 2 years now. Many people blog about their lives, some bloggers have a genre. I write about anything and everything. I do have certain subjects for certain days though. On a Sunday, I just ramble on and don’t bother with research; that makes these blogs the most popular!

I went to Walsall new art gallery this week, searching for inspiration. That dead sheep encased in formaldehyde was the main exhibit in the Damien Hirst exhibition. There was some works from more conventional artists too.
Something to talk about….
That is Forge Mill Farm in the picture, if you click that link you should be able to see where it is on Google maps. Not only that, but you can see it on Streetview, because they actually went in there with the camera! I hope you find this interesting. I’m not boring you am I? I would hate to bore you. I watched the roof closing at Wimbledon on TV last night; bleeding fascinating. That woman who talked about the tennis on BBC gets excited. Can you imagine what she would be like when she gets home? I’ve used photos of this lake in a lot of blogs but it keeps on changing. It is officially summer now and all the trees have leaves and everything is getting greener. I took a few shots of this scene and they are all different. The sky is a deeper blue in the other shots, but I used this one because it has ducks! (more…)

I had to go to the hospital one day and when I parked the car I spotted this building, partly demolished and buttressed. I think it makes for an interesting picture. I’ve edited it several times trying to make it look better, I like this version. (more…)
A Monday Ramble | Photography
I took a lot of photographs over the weekend. It was sunny on Saturday and the light was good; not so good yesterday, but I got some good pictures.
