Monday morning blogging
I took this photo last week, the weather is so changeable you have to get out there when you can. Those kids fishing seem to be making the most of summer. It can be boring fishing, but look at the view and they can chat to their mates while they relax. There are worse ways to spend a summer afternoon.
It is Monday, it must be psychology
I’ve been fascinated by psychology for many years and that’s the subject of my usual Monday blog post. I’ve been posting on WordPress and on A Zillion Ideas too; but that seems to be a waste. My WordPress blog has more subscribers though, so what can I do? I’ve decided to change it!
Blue Monday
It is the third Monday in January and so called ‘Blue Monday’; the most depressing day of the year. The bills are coming in, we are using a small fortune in gas and electricity to keep warm and the weather is awful. Can it get worse? Probably not… Many of us are suffering from the usual winter bugs too.
The week in focus
My blogs with photos are always popular, but just lately it’s been almost impossible to take any new ones with the dark skies and rain we have been having. I took this photo on Sunday and it took a bit of editing to make it look worth using. The weather has turned cold and the usual winter illnesses seem to be beginning. It could be a good time to drink more vitamin C laden fruit juice.
Blue Monday
The excitement of Christmas and New Year is over and the reality of credit card bills and other nasties is upon us. To make matters worse the news is all doom and gloom; Nick Clegg is making a speech and payday seems a long way away. The weekend is over and it’s miserable Monday. Do not despair, look at the picture, I took that on the 6th of April last year and the daffodils were blooming, the blossom was on the trees and it was warm. I know it’s bloody freezing today, but April is only 3 months away. The glass is half full; not half empty! (more…)
A Monday morning ramble…
Photography
I took this photograph yesterday after I had gone thrifty shopping! My intention was to photograph the canal which I did but those photos are a little dark after the rain. I noticed some trees and bushes and set a wide aperture and got some interesting shots. I think this bush is a yew, it has strange flowers that are very sticky! (more…)
