
This looks fun, photos of children enjoying themselves gives a very positive image. We can promote parks, nature reserves, pubs, carnivals, whatever we like with suitable photographs suggesting a positive image. Some photos are negative however. (more…)

People looking at my photographs, like the one above; often think I live in a really nice place. They conclude that from the photos I post. The people who live here conclude something entirely different, they see the graffiti that I try to avoid photographing. By using these photographs, I am implying or suggesting that this is a nice place to live. Using this phenomenon; the tendency of people to make assumptions based upon what they see and hear can be very useful. People will assume all kinds of things about you based upon the way you look, sound and behave. Do you want them to conclude something about you that is quite different? (more…)

Hypnosis
Hypnotherapists use suggestion to influence behaviour and beliefs. The suggestions are subtle and not always direct. They don’t say ‘stop smoking’, they are more likely to say, ‘You will be better off when you stop smoking.’ The exacting wording is very important. They often infer something rather than being direct. They also realise that we tend to believe what we want to believe and refuse to compromise our morality. People can’t normally be hypnotised into doing something that they are totally opposed to. They can be easily hypnotised into doing something they want to do but perhaps lack the confidence to do.
