A trip to Walsall
I went to the wonderful town of Walsall yesterday. I used to think Walsall was great. The market used to go up the hill nearly to the church and that street was lined with little interesting shops. Walsall is a shadow of it’s former self.
Not the Olympics is it?
Last week, I went to the historic vehicle show in Walsall Arboretum. I hope to take a few photos today too, but the weather is much like last week, sunny but rain forecast. It’s Olympics of course. I wonder what the athletes will talk about when they get home. There will be those that will be disappointed and the medal winners who will no doubt talk about it for the rest of their days. I rode my bike from here to Sutton Park a few times when I was young. I didn’t get a medal and you really don’t want to hear about it do you?

This photograph was taken by Simon James with a Samsung Galaxy smart phone, which shows you don’t need a fancy camera. It was taken in December when the light wasn’t very good, but the white building reflected some light and I made the picture lighter when I edited. (more…)
