Thrifty Thursday | Careful shopping
The Aldi super-six today are plums (400g), peaches (4/5), large vine tomatoes (450g), sweet corn (2), salad potatoes (1Kg) and runner beans (250g). They are all 69p. I’ve been to Curry’s this week and bought a USB flash drive to record TV programmes on. I later discovered I can play them back on my laptop.
Thrifty Thursday bargain hunt
The Aldi super-six this week are grapes (snack pack 150g), garlic (4), iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes (250g), cucumber and Jersey Royal potatoes (450g). They are all 49p each and the offer lasts until the 3rd of July.
Another week of creativity
I saw a council estate on TV last week where there was a lot of poverty and drug taking. The problems weren’t just lack of money, there was also a lack of nature. It needed green fields and they need trees to be planted. I also see lots of speed humps and traffic calming on the worst estates too.
The week in focus
My blogs with photos are always popular, but just lately it’s been almost impossible to take any new ones with the dark skies and rain we have been having. I took this photo on Sunday and it took a bit of editing to make it look worth using. The weather has turned cold and the usual winter illnesses seem to be beginning. It could be a good time to drink more vitamin C laden fruit juice.
