The review: Local community and events

1 hospital

I’ve had a strange week. I did finally manage to get to the hospital for my blood test. I was in and out in 10 minutes, which left 20 minutes on my 30 minutes parking. At a pound for 30 minutes, it seemed a shame to waste it. The car park was quite full though and so I decided not to join the Costa Coffee crowd, although the Taste Cafe was a little tempting. The weekend review

Canal

I took today’s photo in bright sunshine, unfortunately I don’t have that picture any more. The original was wiped from my computer. I only have this smaller one now, which isn’t suitable for a calendar. I’m hoping the sun will come out this weekend so I can try to get the same shot again. We do have some nice places in the Black Country, it’s a shame they’re not always appreciated. (more…)

Autumn sunshine this weekend?

River Tame

After a miserable summer, Autumn in England is more of the same; more rain. We had sunshine in October last year, I took this photograph. It was like summer, I had a salad for dinner! This week in blogs

Perry Barr 021

I started the week by taking some interesting photographs, despite the cloudy skies again. I took this one in Perry Hall Park in Perry Barr. I would like to go back when the light is better. Not on a day when there is a major football match though, we hit a lot of traffic both on the way there and on the way back.

The weeks review

a landscape, Merrion's Wood

I’ve started this post with a photo that I think is a little artistic. It was taken in Merrion’s Wood. I don’t think I would choose Merrion’s Wood for a picnic, it is a great place to take photographs and explore though. I would prefer Sandwell Valley for a picnic on a sunny day. Do you remember those sunny days we used to get in England? We do get breaks in the rain sometimes and that is a good time for a barbecue, garden party or a picnic. That was the subject of my blog yesterday.
